Common Questions

  • How can I save time and money with tax returns?
Thanks to new developments in specialised accounting software, we can show you how to spend less time “doing the accounts” and more time on your business. And what’s more, it is very cost effective.
  • Do I have to be a computer whiz to use accounting software?
Not at all – the software has been designed to be easy for anyone to use. We have a good success rate with clients who struggle with computers. Providing you have a fax machine or can manage an email account, we can handle your accounting worries with a minimum of fuss.
  • How can I cut back my accounting fees?
Much of the accounting process is driven by the need to provide an income tax return at the end of the year. Dealing with Inland Revenue is our problem, and we can show you how to provide the information to us that streamlines the accounting process and keeps your fees to an affordable level.
  • Do I need to register for GST?
If your sales level is approaching the threshold of $60,000 per annum, you should register for GST. For businesses below this sales threshold, you may register if you wish. (Registering for GST below the threshold may disadvantage Service-type businesses, because you will be paying out 15% of your sales to Inland Revenue while not being able to offset many costs.)
